For Individual Students
Private Latin Teaching, Tutoring, & Academic Support
Sometimes students need more than what a classroom—traditional or online—can provide. Perhaps your student would like to learn Latin but isn’t in a situation where that is currently offered. Whether your student is struggling with Latin and needs extra help, wants to get ahead, or simply learns best in a one-on-one setting, Daisy Lane Educational Services offers personalized Latin instruction tailored to individual needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I know if I need a tutor or should join a group class?
A: Tutoring is best if you need significant catching up, have specific learning challenges, or want completely customized pacing. Group classes work well if you're starting fresh or maintaining steady progress and benefit from learning with peers. Learn more about my online group classes at my For Homeschool Families page.
Q: Can you help with Latin courses at any level?
A: Yes! I work with students from elementary Latin through college-level coursework. I'm experienced with many major Latin textbooks and curricula.
Q: What if my teacher uses a different method than you do?
A: I'm experienced with many different Latin teaching approaches and textbooks. My goal is to help you succeed in YOUR class, so I work within your teacher's framework while filling in gaps and strengthening understanding.
Q: Do you assign homework?
A: For supplemental tutoring, we focus on your class homework and assignments. For complete instruction, yes, I assign practice work between sessions—but homework load is customized to your schedule and capacity.
Q: How long will I need tutoring?
A: It depends on your goals. Some students need a few sessions to catch up or prepare for a test. Others benefit from ongoing weekly support throughout the school year. We'll discuss this during our consultation.
Q: Can I do intensive sessions during school breaks?
A: Yes! Summer review sessions, winter break catch-up, and spring break intensive preparation are all available.
Q: What if I need to cancel a session?
A: I ask for 24-hour notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with adequate notice can be rescheduled. My full cancellation policy will be provided when we establish our tutoring arrangement.
Q: Do you offer tutoring for college students?
A: Yes! I work with college students taking Latin courses, preparing for graduate programs, or studying for exams.
